Wouldn't trade it for the world!

I'm an awful blogger! I apologize!

But now that I'm here I have such amazing updates!
Stating in August I became a part of the Acquire The Fire Ministry Team! A team of 34 men and women age 18-26 traveling the country putting on Acquire The Fire events! We did about 5 weeks of pre production where we did everything from cleaning cables to setting up lights and cameras. We worked A LOT! Sometimes we worked 15 hour days but we were all excited to be a part of something bigger than ourselves! My job on the team is the Switcher. Basically I sit behind the stage staring at a ton of video screens deciding what goes up and when!

On Sept. 23 we hit the road headed for Amherst, MA! I was sooooo excited to finally be on the road! To live on a bus! What an adventure! I wasnt sure how sleeping on the bus would be but that first night I found out that it's lovely! :) Besides the beds being small and a little hard (two big problems I know! But we fixed it with some extra padding) I slept REALLY good! The bus rocks you to sleep and the hum of the motor is wonderful!.... but enough about that. We stopped in TN at one of our staff members houses, his family BLESSED us with breakfast for dinner and then a buffet of ice cream! And then we stopped in MA a few hours away from our venue to hang out at a teammates house and his family blessed us with lots of food and of course, much needed showers.

When we arrived at the Mullins Center in Amherst we hit the ground running! We had a ton to do! We received a bunch of new content, our camera blocking (what camera gets what shot and when) was completely changed, we had skits that we'd never seen before added to our schedule. It was completely crazy! The enemy was trying hard to make things fall apart but the Lord had a plan! Finally doors opened and it was.... A rush! The event went smooth...For a first event :)

My favorite moment of the event was during one of the ministry moments. We about 500 youth at the alter the lights were, down, no distractions, the holy spirit was moving! During these moments we have our camera ops getting shots of the attendees worshiping to use for highlights. So one of our cameras was fixed on the young man, maybe 15 or 16, he was laughing! Laughing so hard he was in tears. You could tell it wasnt because something was funny but he was filled with the spirit. It was so beautiful! He started speaking in tongues and laughing more and it was just so beautiful!

After the event we spent time in Cape Cod at one of my teammates houses his mother spoiled us! The girls stayed in a cute little inn and his mom treated us to a harbour tour on a cute little boat! And we got the opportunity to minister to a local youth group!

Were now back on campus working on any changes that were made. And I am so ready to get back on the road again. We hit the road for a 5 week stint on the 17th! We head to Toronto, then to Chicago, Cleveland, Anaheim and Billings!

I think I always say this, but I will try to update more at least once for every event.

Thank you so much for your prayer and support!

Ch-ch-ch-changes!

Wow! I've done a horrible job keeping you guys updated! I'm sorry!!
Let's see the last time I wrote was september! So much has happened since then! I feel like a totally different person! I've learned sooooo much through the classes and other opportunities we get to just sit and listen to wisdom! It's so awesome being here and just being able to spend time getting to know Jesus intimately!! I'll fill you in on the most important stuff!

In January we got a new girl added to our core!

In February we had our second fasting weekend. No eating, talking, or working for 3 days! Talk about hearing God speak clearly! He revealed so much to me about what I needed him to be that I wasn't letting him be. Life transforming! We also submitted our mission statement for our diploma mine is: "To live a life that is pleasing to my savior and king. To go where he leads fully trusting him, surrendering daily." he's definitely held me to that!

In march I joined the line! I got my honor ring and joined the line of interns before me! & then I got to see many of you for the 3 or so weeks I was home to have my second cardiac ablation.

When I got back to Texas I went down "roads" it's the process we go through to stay a second year. I went down ministry team roads. Ministry Team is the team of people on the front lines of the ministry traveling city to city on a bus putting on the Acquire The Fire events each weekend. A huge responsibility but also a huge privilege! During roads they put us in situations that test the way we respond in certain areas such as in a team, as a leader, how we communicate & how we respond to leadership, failure and high pressure situations. It was two weeks of different test and challenges every night... Intense! After 2 or 3 weeks of waiting, tons of praying and a few tears i was told that I was accepted to be part of the team!!!! So starting in August we will start pre production and in October we will hit the road with our 20 something week tour!

Coming up in a few weeks I have my first mission trip! I'm really excited! Thanks to you for praying and supporting  me financially I will be leading a group of 25-30 jr high students on the mission field as a team leader! It will be my responsibility to minister to them while they are ministering to the lost! My job description say that I need to help them feel like they are a part of something bigger than themselves but I think it's helping them REALIZE it, not just feel it! I picked my team name the other day and our team vision and I would love to have you guys praying that my team would take  hold of this vision....
Out team name is the Trailblazers, our team verses are 1 Corinthians 11:1 and Isaiah 40:3 (you should look them up! They're really good! ) and the vision or the thing I really want them to realize is that they, as young as they are an example to others their friends at school or at church and even their families and by them living this life that is pleasing to God and sharing his love and his word with others they are preparing the way of the Lord! They are young but I think it's important that they realize early!

Well I think I've written enough for a couple of post, so I'll stop! But please feel free to inquire more about what I'm doing here or what God's shown me over the last few months! I love to share! :)

And as always please continue to keep me lifted in prayer!

Love Always
